Chapter 11 "I must say that the man we call modern is by no means the average man." Carl Jung stresses that modern man "stands upon a peak, or at the very edge of the world, the abyss of the future before him, above him the heavens, and below him the whole of mankind with a history that disappears in primeval mists...such a man is rarely met with." (Jung stressed that the above was said with "apparent lack of caution.") Experience that Creative Energy we call God as the very atmosphere in which our physical bodies move--a Force so great that we cannot exist without it any more than we can exist without breathing in and breathing out. The "i am" is that which is you, which is me, which is us as Spiritual Beings or Souls, and partakers of ITS Character, or SPIRIT The I AM is that which "spoke" (vibrated) and the world came into Being. You and I are "individualized" unique aspects of THE SPIRIT--androgynous children--imaging ITS creative abilities and Companions to IT as The Source of The Creative Energy. Therefore, we were made in God's Image and Likeness, for what else was there to make anything of?
Remove the physical aspect of self, and only the Spirit (individualized vibrating energy with "form") remains. Now you have SPIRIT upon Spirit, Spirit upon SPIRIT. No line of demarcation, no sense of separation is evident between the two-
Pierre Teilhard explains it thus: "By its structure Omega, in its ultimate principle, can only be a distinct Centre radiating at the core of a system of centres; a grouping in which personalization of the ALL and personalizations of the elements reach their maximum, simultaneously and without merging, under the influences of a supremely autonomous focus of union." The I AM is the sole source of all Beingness. You and I initiate creativity by using the Essence of the I AM. That created (by either God or Souls) receives its character, spirit or quality from its creator. 'THE SPIRIT' HAS FREED US TO CREATE WHAT WE WILL, SO TOO MUST WE PERMIT OTHERS TO DO LIKEWISE WITHOUT JUDGEMENT. Two primary aspects of THE SPIRIT are Law (unison of purpose) and Love (giving). The Law is characterized in The Creative Energy in that the stars and planets hang in the heavens, the sun rises and sets, the seasons follow one another. The Law makes itself known by way of the Law of Cause and Effect, which enables the Created Ones (as Cause) to comprehend the effects of their creative activities. That Creative Energy we call God has been imbued with the primary Character of THE SPIRIT--LOVE, for it is in Love that we choose to be creative for the sake of others. Therefore, as Beings made in the I&L, it is our destiny to instill that Essence within our own creativity, for WE CAN DO NAUGHT BUT LOVE ONE ANOTHER FOR WE ARE ONE! This is the process whereby John, Jane, Joe or Mary BECOME Love by way of making It the primary essence of their creativity, for the energy of their motivation (a thought process) soon acquires a form that eventually becomes an abstract of their Ethereal Body and acts as an active principle that propels its owner forward. You are then in the process of bringing the Infinite into your self-created Finite World. If you were to attempt to be creative via Love as the motivation, how would that characteristic influence your use of The Creative Energy?
If your creation appears less than perfect, "that wee small voice" will nudge you into reconsideration. 'LET HIM THAT HATH EARS HEAR' the vibration of THE WORD. Many curse God when things go wrong. This is a defense mechanism on the part of our ego, or physical consciousness. However, our Soul struggles to remain constant in its relationship with THE SPIRIT--always recognizing when we have neglected to do so and sends a "tingling" vibration of Itself to us--Its creation. This is an activity of the Soul which "sees" through the eyes of understanding via experience. Another example where one and one are One!
All creatures of Nature follow in the Law of Instinct (no choice but to obey). Mankind, having received the Gift of Free Will which allows us to obey or rebel, seeks to instinctively follow the WILL OF THE SPIRIT when using that CE we call God. This is "the unreachable goal" toward which we strive--THE IDEAL. It is not that God has many "wills" for each one of us, but rather one Will only:
Peter Russell speaks of this with the question: "Could it be that, in much the same way as the destiny of matter in a sufficiently massive star is to become a black hole in space, the destiny of a self-conscious species--should it be sufficiently full of love--is a 'spiritual supernova' or a moment when the light of inner awakening radiates throughout the world--a white hole in time?" Acknowledging that such a time will come for Mother Earth as with stars, should we not now prepare to be Partners in such a venture? Recognizing that which is your own "unique" characterization as One made in the Image and Likeness of THE SPIRIT, which role will you now prepare yourself for in that "evolutionary zenith?"
